And the winner is......

It's been a week and all together (17 participants) we have lost 36.5 lbs this week! Woo-Hoo! Below is the winners for the week as well. Week one prize is provided by HD - So Chris I will leave it up to you two to swap info.

Welcome to We run. We jump. We swim and play!

It's time to lose some weight so welcome and here it goes.

1. Weight loss will be determined by % lost. (Previous weeks weight - this weeks weight) divided by starting weight. This will give us negative numbers if there are any gains along with keeping the final percentages of total weight loss divided by starting weight the same.

2. As resulted from the survey the contest will last 16 weeks - Jan. 18 to May 10th.

3. The survey was split on winner take all and weekly winners so we will do a combination. $5 per participant to go towards the overall winner AND each participant is asked to contribute a prize of some sort. (Cash, fattening food, items, services etc) As you chose your prize to donate just ask yourself if you would like to win whatever it may be.

4. I'll be providing survey monkey links for you to enter your weights - entry links will be active from 8am Monday to 8pm Wednesday. This gives you a 60hr window to weigh in and report your results.

5. Participants are spread across many miles and for this reason the weighing in process is based on trust. Please use the same scale each week and try to weigh in on the same day each week. It is expected that you are honest with the reporting of your weights as well.

6. Results will be posted to this blog and a private Facebook group ideally by noon on Thursday.

7. Results will only show % lost and a name. (you can chose whatever name you want really)

8. Although this is a contest respect is expected. We are all participating with a common goal. Light hearted ribbing is acceptable anything that is meant to destroy self-esteem is not.

9. For those wishing to participate in the side bets for couples and long term weight loss please indicate your interest in the comments below or on Facebook. We'll figure it out from there.

We'll figure out how the $5 is going to get collected as we go. Suggestions? Using paypal maybe?
